R50/53 Recirculating air function
I own a MCS with the AAC system. When I turn on my car the light on the recirc button is turned on, which tanslates in not letting the outside air in the car. Now, when I turn on my A/C I can either choose to recirc the air or not (which is fine), but when I turn off the A/C I can't get the recirc function back on unless I get the A/C working again.
Is this normal? It doesen't make any sense because I travel through a lot of highway traffic and I get gasoline smell all the time when the air is not recirculating. Is there a way of activating this button without necessarily turning on the A/C?
Appreciate your help.

Welcome to North American Motoring, grosanov!
When I turn on my auto a/c system, the recirc engages until the temp I set is reached...and that usually takes about 3 minutes, then the recirc turns itself off. I can turn it back on if I want, but I generally let the system do its thing. If I am heading into dusty conditions, I always pop the recirc on immediately, until I get through it. I am able to use the recirc, also, without the a/c on. Hope that helps.
