Does anyone here able to help me to locate the engine number, my car is a 2014 plate f56 Cooper S with a B48A20A engine in it .
i could not find any number that matches with my logbook .
photo attaached is the only set of 'numbers' i could find in the front end of the engine but nothing matches on my logbook
my engine number starts with F and ends with 7 digit of numbers FXXXXXXX
i do find some picture on google with similar set of numbers on a B48 engine and same location but no help
any help and answer will be appreciated and thanks in advance !

 

What number are you looking for? The serial number of the engine? If so on the Gen 2 cars the serial number was on the back of the engine, not sure about Gen 3.
