Stop exterior plastic fading?

Any of you guys have any special products you use to help stop that exterior shiny black plastic from fading? Like the black plastic bumper insert and pillars on the greenhouse (I have the black roof package). I had the black plastic bumper insert replaced on the front as it was going purple. Do you guys use anything to help with UV protection? Unfortunately I don't have a garage.
Also the front headlights, they are still nice and clear right now and I'd like to keep them from yellowing if possible.

Special wax? Other UV resistant product? Please share any tips...thanks!

The shiny bits can be waxed, just like you would the painted parts. There are many other products for the textured pieces. I think you're likely to get a different opinion from each member here on what to use.

Check this website out.

I've used Mother's Back to Black with good results.

I used Auto Finesse revive on my unpainted black parts (wheel arches, etc) which brought them up great. Another product is solution finish which restores using a dye in the product

The front bumper plynth always fades no matter what products are used, even a ceramic coating wont save it

I guess I should be more specific. These suggested products are for unpainted plastic surfaces, but the bumper (plynth?) and pillars are painted plastic. I was hoping to avoid them turning purple.

Also the headlights, I've seen products such as Meguir's Keep Clear, Blue Magic headlight sealer, etc..... I was hoping someone had experience with these products. Again, not to restore, just to preserve them.

I have been waxing them for now... but that's only likely to do so much.

Thanks for the replies however!

Waxing those parts will do more good than you think. While those pieces appear to be painted, they are bare plastic with a high gloss finish. This is why they can discolor from exposure to UV light from the sun. (plastics and UV do not mix) Most of your decent automotive waxes have a good UV blocker in them to protect paint finishes. I would just continue keeping a good coat of was on them, and they should last pretty well.

FYI- I have ALWAYS coated my headlights with wax when cleaning my vehicles, and I've never had a set of lights fade or yellow over the years.

Ah, thanks! They really look painted, I was unaware it was just buffed plastic. Makes sense why they fade so quickly... I will just keep on waxing em then
