Suddenly, my F56's back-up camera has vanished and front and rear PDC beeps are no longer audible, although proximity graphics still show. The iDrive options for the camera are also now grayed-out! What could cause this, after working flawlessly for nearly 6 years?



Could a blown fuse account for these symptoms? If so, which one?

Faulty switch or fuse?

 

I checked a bunch of them, per the fuse map, but none of them appeared blown. I agree, that this is the most likely explanation.

 

You have the parking toggle switch on the lower center dash don't you? Have you tried repeatedly jogging it back and forth since that's the only other thing I can think of. Sorry, not a mechanic but this happened to me briefly until I toggled it a few times and then all was back to normal. Has been since. Hopefully someone smarter than me will chime in here.

 

I can give that a try, but it seems to be functional. That's how I pull up the parking menu (where most of it is newly grayed out).
