Gauge Cluster Scratches

So I unfortunately have a very scratched up gauge cluster on my F56 MCS. Partially due to the way the dealer cleaned it when it was new and partially by me trying to polish the scratches out with Meguiar's Plastix (which I don't recommend). Cluster is fine until direct sunlight hits it, then it looks like a complete unreadable disaster. I've been putting up with it for a while, but have finally decided to do something about it. This leads to a few questions...

Can I get only the plastic lenses somewhere? (So far googling hasn't yielded any results)

Is replacing the entire gauge cluster unit plug and play or is there any programming involved to mate the unit with the ECU? I can find replacement units on ebay for decent prices (if they are in any better shape than mine is questionable though) and my dealer's parts department told me the part from them would be ~$660.

Before plunking down that type of coin on a replacement cluster, try giving Novus a shot. Novus has a 3 step plastic polish kit that did a pretty good job on removing the scratches on my gauge cluster.

^This! I used Novis on some iDrive scratches on my BMW and was nothing short of amazed at how well it worked. It is worth it's weight in gold.

I had the same issue and I completely disassembled the cluster assembly to gain access to the clear bezel. I wet sanded it and used multi-step compounds with a DA polisher and got it looking pretty good. Basically perform the same steps to polish hazy headlights or perform paint correction. I realize this is on the crazy end of the scale but it is possible. OCD is a bi * tch.
