The Forge pipe has a rather long silicon boot on the end of it. As seen on Way's website. https://www.waymotorworks.com/forge-...-f57-mini.html

Of course il will fit the S, the intake system is the same for every gasoline engine, so it will fit the One and the Cooper also!

Need and want are 2 very important things

Review for sure. It will be a few weeks though. Lovely Minnesota blessed me with 11in of snow so it will be a while before the Mini is out of storage.

Worst state ever

You got it! If we get a break in the weather I might give it a shot. I hate having a box of parts just sitting there looking at me!

I feel you on that. Seattle just got the most snow it's had in nearly two decades. The top photo is Sunday evening and the bottom Monday afternoon. Outside of the mountains we hardly get any snow and what little does appear doesn't stick around for more than a day. I think we're on day 11 of non-stop snow.

I look forward to hearing results when the weather gets nicer. I've read that the install can kind of be a PITA. I'm interested in getting this, though.

Me too!

The install was a pain just in the fact that the instructions on the site didnt do a great job of conveying the actual work needed. They made it appear that it was a simple out with the old, in with the new. If the instructions resembled the process to take the downpipe out then it would have been an easy install.

Also, take into account it was cold, like negative temps, when we install it too so pieces werent flexing much as they would in the heat. Im sure that hindered the install too.

Any new updates on the hardpipe testing? I noticed you had it installed on your site, but was wondering if you got to test it out yet. It's been a month and kind of feeling a little guilty whining about our 80 Degree weather out here.

Hopefully this week!! I think the winter from hell is finally winding down. The great mistake of Minnesota is going to be in the 50s next week so I will get a few drives in!

After taking a look at some downpipe install videos, I see what you're saying. It doesn't look too troublesome but still a lot of plastic to take off. Any gotchas I should be looking out for? I'm committed at this point.

Id say just go the route for a downpipe install. My buddy didnt but I had too. Figure that out.

You might ..... might be able to get it from under the car, basically pulling the pipe down instead of up but that was just an afterthought

I don't have a lift so that's out. This hardpipe plus the Eventuri intake will be my first hands on mod with the car. Dealer did the JCW Pro Tune and Suspension.

There you go! Thats a nice setup. Just go from the engine bay, that way you can see everything.

I guess my only concern, at this point, is that clip that you undo with a flat head screw driver. The instructions mention not to let it drop but I can't find any photos online of the clip itself. I'm trying to figure out the mechanism on it so I don't drop it. Is it something that shouldn't be too much of a concern unless I'm literally prying it off?
