That looks like a nice upgrade. I'm curious about this too. If I can persuade my significant other to let me spend then money, I would get it.

 

There are a few brave souls who have done this or similar. Need to search them out here. Someone just did it with a prior generation MINI.

I'd do it if a local company could support product.

 

Looks like a very nice upgrade. I really dislike the display on mine 8.8". The orange display (music/artist) info is nearly impossible to read in daylight while driving especially since the engineers decided to vary the brightness on some of the info displayed on the screen.



Our BMW displays white text and is readable at a glance regardless of time of day. This product appear to be of a similar design. A worthy although expensive, upgrade IMO.



If I planned to keep mine for the long term (years and years), I'd likely go with this. Maybe Mini will wise up and improve theirs to something similar to this in the future.

Unfortunately not for Apple, otherwise it offers many options, and the possibility to connect it deeper with the car.

I wonder if many people consider such a buy upfront, for their new car.

But its a great way to add that icon center display, just in case that the previous owner of the car avoided 2500 bugs, or he was clever and used something like this
