2019's - Why so early?

Don't recall new model year being actually available in early June - does this mean a big change for the 2020 models?

2019's have actually been on the road in the U.S. since April. When we picked up our 2019 in early May our dealer said that it's the first time they've ever had three model years (2017, 2018, 2019) available in a 12-month span.

GM- Corvette, same deal. I think BMW is about to release their 2019's also.

First time I can recall being able to drive a new current year car for nearly 20 months before it being a calendar year old.

Wonder if rushed model year dating has anything to do with potential tariffs. As in all 2020 German cars will now have to pay 25% tax, blah blah blah.
