F55/F56 2019 2Dr Backseat Cover
2019 2Dr Backseat Cover
Hey all!
Just picked up a 2019 2Dr Hardtop (F56) a week ago. We keep growing the collection and now have 3 Minis.
For this 2019 model we are looking for a fitted back seat cover to protect it from our small dog. We just used a blanket in the old Mini and it moved around so much it really didn't offer much protection. I just really wanted to get something that the dog can't move.
I am having a hard time finding something that would work. I have seen some universal back seat covers but I was hoping to find something that would be a bit more custom fit just for looks.
Anyone have any recommendations on products or vendors to check out?
Thanks!

That is why I was looking for custom so we could just install them and never have to move until it was time to wash them. But that would be in an ideal world.
Do universal covers like this that hook on the front seat of 2 Dr cars really not have this issue for animals?
The issue you describe should be much extra work to get the pup into and out of the car. Open door, unhook the cover (looks like the loop lifts off the headrest), let the pup jump in, loop cover back, slide seat back and your done.
Depending on how rambunctious your pet is, you may be able to just leave the one side you use most frequently unhooked and let lay on the back seat floor.
I think you'd be fine w/ that back seat protector.

We have the following for our 2018 S Hardtop:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0727Y5ZD7/
Each side that hooks over the front seats can be unzipped and let down independently of the other side, so we just leave the driver's side down so that a dog can easily "walk" right into the back seat. Being a "universal" cover that fits many sizes of vehicles, it is a bit large for a Mini (which causes some drooping on the sides), but so far it is holding up very well, seems pretty waterproof...and for $30 I was just willing to try it out versus the few other, more Mini-focused covers I found that were easily $150+.

Check In the Company of Dogs or Orvis for great dog accessories. We bought a canvas rear seat mat for our beloved Basset Hound “Bailey” at the bridge now sadly, but it worked great. You want something that wears like iron and doesn’t catch hair...a towel just won’t cut it.
