Ordered my rear seat delete today! Originally was going to just try to modify the one from my old R56 but this is a lot easier.

Vetsvette,
I noticed that your seatbelt lower buckles were removed, do you have a solution for the removal of the top shoulder or did you leave them?

The Sparco bases I'm using have tabs to mount the seat belt buckles to. I bought the buckles used from Allmag, one of the site sponsors. I use the stock belt around town and the shoulder harness when I'm doing anything like the Dragon or track.

The only thing I wish these rear seat delete kits had were pre-drilled holes so 1) easier to line up straight and 2) not having to worry about drilling into something you should not be drilling into.

Other than that the install was very straight forward. Really glad I have the AWE touring version exhaust and not the track version because holy cow without that seat taking the sound dampening is it louder.

As far as complaints about the Mini. I wish they made the bracket that holds the rear seats in place removable like in the R56.

I think you just convinced me to get the touring exhaust

I have the AWE touring version, and I constantly get compliments on it.

How does the delete kit look without a roll bar, since its a kit made for the roll bar? I imagine it has notches or holes for the bars. Are they visible?

When you cover the panel you can cover the cutouts if you don't have the rollbar. You would only have two cutouts on the rear of the panel to cover.
