I've only used jack stands on the back jack points. These worked perfectly for working on the rear suspension. You jack from the front and the back comes up too. I did not try this but maybe once the backs are jacked if you continue to lift the front it would lift the front opposite side? Then just slide the stand in that way?

 

remove them, they come off and it's like hitting a hocky puck, lotta tracks do not want them installed

 

It is interesting that you say that. They are likely designed to work in conjunction with the MINI jack that is barely present in most US and Canadian cars. As there is no spare tire it makes little sense for a car that can be completely customised. A flat jack point would be more valuable for all cars with run flats....and something that would not break off!

 

If you remove the jacking points, simply get jack pads that are grooved to accommodate the pinch weld.

 

Get the F57 (or R57 or R52) convertible the extra cross bracing provides several hard points suitable for a jack or stands
