My driver's side turn indicator collects water inside and today at my scheduled maintenance the service rep pointed out that it was cracked. Probably got a hit somehow before I bought the car, so it's not covered under warranty.

He gave me a $100 estimate but said I could get one cheaper off the internet, which is fine by me.

My question - How easy/difficult is it to remove the old one? The videos I've found online only show older models where you slide the whole assembly forward, which you can't do on an F56.

Very easy. Just hook your fingertips under the bottom edge and lift up and pull out on the bottom to release. Unplug the lamp connector making sure you don't let it fall into the fender. Installation is the reverse. Once you can examine the replacement it's easy to see how it works with the spring clip on top and the two locking tabs on the bottom.

No problem. I have a set of MCS clear lights that I'm not using, but I'm guessing that since you have a Mini One you're not located in the US.
