Dual Climate Controls Question

I couldn't find any mention of this in the owners manual so I am turning to the forum for some help. I have the auto climate controls and was curious if you can set the system that if you change the temp on the drivers side it will automatically change the passenger side as well?
In my previous car (not a MINI) there was a setting that you could control the driver and passenger independently or the drivers side could control both sides. I am curious if the MINI allow for that adjustment?

Thanks

No, it isn't possible. BMW made this change on our F30 as well and it doesn't make sense. They used to have a sync button from what I remember. I have OCD so I am always turning both dials when I switch, but not much of a hassle really

I always thought that it was kinda stupid they don't have a sync button.

Absolutely. You don't even need to have a separate button. On my A3, you just held the AUTO button until the temps synced-up. Lazy, lazy programmers.

Dual Climate Controls Question

It drives me nuts as well that there's no sync button. I wish there was at least coding parameter that can be set to permanently sync temperatures.

Another thing that's inconvenient is the fact that temperature only goes down to 60f. Let's say you're motoring around on sunny day in mid 50's, it's getting a bit warm and you want just fresh air from outside. Well, guess what, you get warm air from engine instead. I had an acura tsx before and when I set it to LO and dash vents, with circulation off it just pushed outside air, even with fan off (on highway). In my 14 MCS it seems like air is always warm unless AC is on.

It drives me nuts as well. And to make matters worse, BMW isn't consistent. As I said, my F30 doesn't have it, but I test drove a new X1 yesterday, and damn it to hell there was a sync button on the dash. I wanted to punch the sales guy.

It would drive me nuts if I had to get out of the car and open the hood to change the temps settings. Reaching over to adjust the temps setting for each side is hardly an inconvenience IMO.

If there was a option to sync in the menus, someone would complain that they have to go into the menu to select the individual option. If there was a button to sync, someone would complain it's not in the right location, or it's extra clutter on the dash.
