JCW grill on base F55

I had a fence post fall off a truck in front of me and break the stock brushed silver grill on my base 2015 F55 (iced chocolate). I'm tempted to pick up the JCW grill with the red slat because I love the looks of it, but hesitate to put a JCW badge on a base F55. Opinions? Thanks.

Personally, I wouldn't do it. But it's not my car, it's yours, and if it makes you happy then do it!

Since you will be buying a new grille anyway, why not have the silver bar painted or wrapped in red before the install.

I did that with mine before I had the JCW kit installed. After the install I swapped grilles for a JCW to get a better color match with the chili red brake ducts I had painted (and the other JCW appointments).

If you have the bar wrapped, it can be done while on the car is is pretty inexpensive and can be reversed if you choose. If go the paint route, have it done before the grille is installed and get the correct chili red color. Going this route will likely run twice what a wrap will cost (at least it was for me even where the guy also added the red stripe to the bonnet) stripes).

You can always remove that JCW badge if you do not want it on there. It's worth around $90 if I remember correctly. Or get a JCW tuning kit with it and then you have a reason to have the badge on there ;P

Unfortunately the badges on the F56 (S and JCW) are molded in now.

If that's what you want to go with we have the JCW grille HERE or you could get the S grille HERE (part number ending in 528) and do as suggested above and paint the chrome bar. If you need anything just let me know.

Thanks for the input all. I went with the black slats rather than the JCW to change it up from the brushed silver that came on the car. I plan on doing some tuning and tweaking and decided I'd rather go more black-out than anything. Should be getting it shortly. I'll post a pic once I swap them. Thanks again.

Like to see this , the JCW does look good. Even better if you get the outside trim painted black.

Here's how it turned out. I'm pleasantly surprised by how good the black looks. Glad I went this direction. Thanks for all the input.
