In one of the threads here I saw a picture of somebody's center screen that had the album art on the left with track info (album name, track name, track number) on the right.

My screen displays the track info when changing songs and then, after a few seconds, displays the album art with only the track name underneath until the next track change.

Is there any way to control/change this display? I looked for it but couldn't find any settings.

-Push the iDrive controller to the right
-Select "Split Screen Options" (it should be the only option)
-Select "Entertainment"

 

I don't have those options when I push the iDrive to the right. I get options to turn off the screen and some others.

Another forum told me that those options only come on the 8.5" screen with SatNav. I have a 6.5".

Still seems kind of weird.

 

Welp. There's yer problem. It works on the 8.5", not sure about 6.5".

 

Will not work on 6.5" display, also known as Boost. The split screen only works on Boost XL (i.e. the larger 8.5" screen)
