Shift lever questions

Hi everybody, I just had a quick question,

On my MCS 6 spd, the shift lever seems to be harder to engage into 1st and 2nd gear than 4th, 5th, and 6th, especially in the morning.

The reason I am asking here is because they actually are still quite easy to use, especially compared to my BMW e46, but they are noticeably different from the other gears, has anyone else experienced this, or am I imagining it, (which I could be).

Not noticed on my early 2015 MCS mornings or later.

DunkM - My advice is - "never think you are imagining it - especially with a German car".
That being said, you maybe aware that early 2014 model manuals had some linkage problems. With my MCS they replaced the gearbox at 3,000 miles. So....I would advise to show it to the dealer and while you are there take a drive is a similar car to yours and see how it feels. If it is different (better) then my advice at the top is correct. Keep us informed!

Well I will keep an eye on it and keep updated, but I think I was being stupid, I talked to my girl about it and she told me she has no problems with it, I then learned I wasn't pushing far enough left and it was harder to push in because I was having to push past the shift gate, but I have gone all weekend without the issue so I believe it's currently user error. :P

I've noticed my car has a lockout in 1st gear it seems, probably to prevent accidental money shifts. It shouldn't be hard to shift into it if you're at a stop though.
