Garmin Mini GPS, Click and Drive, and BC 30

Likely I'm the only one who's using the GPS Click and Drive system combination. I noticed that the unit allows the use of a blue tooth connected back-up camera. Anyone have any experience with using the BC 30 back-up camera with the unit if you've got one?

OK, I'll try a different approach; the BC 30 instructions recommends using the back up lights as the unit's power supply because it will activate the camera when backing up. Will tying into the electrical system cause a problem for the Mini's electronics and cause some sort of fault?

Yes, the car seems to monitor the amperage being used by the bulb.

You may need to get into programming with ESYS.

I suspect you can find the backup camera wiring in the rear door handle. If you look under there you will see what looks like a punch-out for the backup camera, even though the part number for the handle with the backup camera has a different number.

Thanks; I'll discuss with the dealership installation.

Do a DIY

I just had the BC30 installed on my wife's car. It is very easy and do not throw out errors.

Easy DIY as soon as you open the light assembly.
