I get different software versions when I plug the last 7 digits of my VIN into BMW vs. Mini's websites. The BMW file looks to be a bit newer and appears to fix some metadata issues I've been having.

Does anyone have experience with using the BMW files on their F56? Thanks.

 

Are you talking about coding the BMW files with ESYS onto your F56? Or something else?

I updated with the .bin file from the BMW site - no issues so far.

 

The BMW site appears to be updated a little better than the MINI site (go figure). As long as you're inputting your VIN, the software is the same as on the MINI site, just typically newer. I just saw they posted a new version a few days ago for mine (Connected XL).
