I like that LED ring around the tail light thingy. The weird thing is that the driver/owner of the car never gets to see the cool LED lights on their cars. I saw one on an Audi yesterday, DTRs were white, cool pattern, and the blinking turn signal light turned amber color on that side. Looked great but the driver can't see it.

Bulbs for the upper and lower ( brake) behind the led ring , plus the center (turn)), back up light has a bulb. Now look at the green board, its for the LED , for the ring. This is what I heard from MINIUSA when I was at the launch party ? Unless things changed ? 63217297511 & 63217297512

Do you folks stock the Euro version of the tail light with the Orange Blinker?

The accent "ring" light is LED, the turn signals, reverse, and brake lights are incandescent. Pull out all the bulbs and the accent ring will remain let because it is part of the tail light assembly. Most BMW tail lights are similar. LED accents, but normal incandescent bulbs for turn/brake/reverse lights.
If you replaced the incandescent bulbs with LED bulbs, you would get an error and "hyper-flashing" - the bulbs will flicker for about 5 seconds when you turn the car on. This can be fixed with coding via ESYS though. All my exterior bulbs are LED replacements.

Nice! Do you have to turn down the sensitivity on the LED's? I am going to add the rear fogs and make some changes to my setup, would like to know what you did to clear out any errors you may get due to LEDs.

No need for resistors or anything - In ESYS you have to turn off the cold and warm bulb checks which will eliminate "bulb out" warnings, then there is a parameter that lets you classify your bulbs as LED that should eliminate "hyperflashing" or flickering.
I have to dig up what the settings are and I'll post em

If you pull out the bulb housing and then press the brake, only the incandescent bulbs light up. There are no LED lights in my tail lights.

They are part of the housing, the LED ring. The rest of the bulbs are normal ones, what siriuszero was talking about was replacing his normal bulbs with LED ones and the problems with that.

Do you have a link to the bulbs you are using?
Thanks
I don't...I got them several years ago for my Countryman and transplanted them when I got my F55. I think I got them at superbrightleds.com and got the brightest ones I could find. They are 1157 bulbs I believe.

The "LED ring" is just a light diffuser and not really a "light emitting diode".
Back in May I paid you guys $235 for LED tail lights for my R56. What makes these worth almost $400? It can't just be the size, otherwise the LED Tails for my Suburban would have cost a heck of a lot more than $150. Just curious, because at these prices I'm not even considering a set.
