Best Deal in the Pacific Northwest?

Hello friends,

I just moved to Portland, OR and I'm looking to order a new, custom F56 JCW soon. There are three dealerships servicing my area... Portland, Tacoma, and Seattle (the two Washington dealers will also sell to me without sales tax).

I know there isn't much hope of getting a deal on a custom order, but does anyone have any experience buying in this area? I'm wondering if, since there are three dealerships, if there's any suggested way to get them bidding against each other for the sale.

Any help with this would be *greatly* appreciated. If you help me keep some money in my pocket, and you live locally, I'll be happy to use some of it to buy you a beer!

Cheers,
Brad

Seattle Mini treated me great! Haven't heard good things about Tacoma Mini.

The Tacoma and Seattle dealerships have the same owner. Might be a very small competitive spirit between the two. Portland is part of the Lithia group and their MINI competition is more than 200 miles away. I have dealt with both Seattle and Portland and found that Portland was more open to having a discussion about 'making a deal'. You really have to get to Southern Calif. to have enough dealers to have much hope of a bidding war for your business.

Try Costco for a price, then shop from that?

Does going through Costco work for custom orders?

Has anyone in the NW gotten a discount from the dealership for a custom order?

I've purchased Minis from both dealerships and had good experiences at both. Bought my F56 from Portland which is closer. I worked with Tim Orr there and I was a happy camper.
