UPD05062 For me as well. Just got my car yesterday.

 

What software version are y'all seeing? After the update, I now see:

Phone: TV-110.005.010
Media: MV-110.005.010

When I enter the last 7 of my VIN, I get the message:
Update for vehicles with production date from July 2014 to October 2015

I should clarify that this update is for Connected with Visual Boost or Visual Boost XL.

 

What does this update offer?

Nothing compelling for iPhone users. I'll pass.

 

iPhone users were talking about this helping with Bluetooth stability. It was also mentioned that some are getting better reception with the digital radio. Others mention a fix for clicking when using the digital radio. You'll tend to have fixes that are undocumented in software patches. It took a total of about 5 minutes for me. I guess if you're not having any issues or don't care, no worries.

 

XL user here - downloaded the update and my car didn't recognize it at all. I had previously updated to 05062 no problem. The BMW update site doesn't say anything about 07012 when I plug my VIN in...

I'm interested in these two updates specifically:
- Remedies a problem where the old metadata
are displayed after changing the track.
- Telephone: improved reconnect function
with Bluetooth audio streaming

 

Installed 07012 on my non-XL and no changes, though I'm not affected by any of the listed issues.

Maybe it's just for the non-XL visual boost? /shrug

 

My Bluetooth connectivity has been rock-solid. Not saying I won't update, but I won't "rush" to do so.

 

I have had no issues, either, so I'm not going to bother updating.
