The Good Wheel Finds Thread
Since we're starting to get a pretty good idea of what can fit on the F56, and because I'm already set for wheels for quite a while, I figured I'd make a thread where we can share good deals on wheels that we've found. I'm constantly browsing so maybe I can help someone else out since my wheel funds are all tied up.
I'll try to mention if anything extra would be required for fitment, but depending on your ride height and tire choices it may not apply.
17" OZ Vega's
Fitment: 5x112 66.6
17x8 et 49 fronts
17x8.5 et 40 rears

They would at least need some paint, maybe some minor rash repair and potentially the nut hardware to assemble? I'd ask the seller for detailed pictures and more info of what's included.
You'd probably need a small spacer for the front, the rear fitment would be gravy as is.

Hubba hubba. These would be pushing it for front fitment on the outside edge. Randomquickness is fitting another set with these exact specs so we should know how it looks soon enough. These do not come in 5x112 fitment so this is quite the rare set. Plus it looks like it has authentic BBS bits used. Just those emblems are $200 for a set.

They fit any 20 hole BBS motorsport halve which can be purchased new, so they could be built from 15" to 19" wheels in any size you could want

These are a set that I had on my Mercedes, they're awesome and the only 17" set of 504s I've ever seen in 5x112. I very nearly bought these back instead of going the route I did. They'd be a great fit bolted right up, no spacers needed, though you may want one for the rear to push it a little closer to the fender to match the front.

So I don't know of a specific good deal on these but I almost went with these instead of my Alleggeritas. They are known as CLK Lightweights. They are 5x112 ET37 and won't require centering rings.
To make these work you will need to do a M14x1.25 to M12x1.5 stud conversion and find some ball seat lug nuts.
Why would anyone put these on a MINI you ask? Because they are 16x7 and weigh 13.4 lbs each...THAT'S WHY!

I was looking at those CLK forged 16s but I think I'd prefer something with a bit more offset. I was looking at MB Segins in 17 from a CL600, though I've heard they're really heavy (and look it). There are several steelies out there, but one I'm really interested in are VW Heritage (in white for me) without any of the trim pieces. But the smaller centerbore would need to be machined out, plus all the rigamarole with stud conversion to get ball seat nuts (or worse, seat adapters) I'm leaning away from em.

Yeah I was about to suggest the Beetle steelies, they would be a decent size. I don't think they're overly wide but should be a good fit. They're 17x7 et 43. You could probably surgically remove the VW symbol from the center caps and figure out how to put a MINI logo or even a Ronal cap in its place.

They're TUV approved. I've known a lot of people that have used them and I've never actually heard of a case of them failing :shrug: Your wheel bolts don't have any significant force on them, they're there specifically to keep the wheel in contact with the hub.
If it's something you're concerned about then by all means don't use them. The same goes for spacers, adapters and tires with any amount of stretch to them.

See that makes me question if you understand how they work. The bolt is still straight, it's just the head that moves side to side so it sits flush in the mounting hole.
They should be fine even at the track, but autocrossing puts everything you use on the car to the test so it's probably best to play it safe there. But for street use? I wouldn't hesitate to suggest them to someone.

Meh, there's a lot of misinformation around about a lot of wheel fitment options, wobble bolts are one of the more unknowns. I didn't really understand how they worked either until I got the F56, I just assumed I would end up using them since there are so many good options in 5x114.3 but I ended up with a totally different bolt pattern and adapters so I didn't have to worry about it.

It's definitely a good deal if true. I got my HRE's for a steal and a half and they'd been for sale for over 6 months. Who knows why some wheels sell so fast and why others hang around forever.
It might be because he's a newer member and people are always hesitant to buy wheels from out of the country.
