Lights staying on

So I just went out to my garage and found the footwell lights and the park light on my shift lever on. I've not noticed this before. Even after locking the car, the P still stays illuminated. Is this normal? I've had the car for a couple months and have never noticed this before, so I'm a little concerned. I know LEDs don't draw much power, but if I leave this for a few days will I be draining my battery? Any help here?

So how long ago did you turn off the car?

If you give it a bit, I believe the lights will go out...

Check to make sure doors and boot are closed securely if not this will cause the dome and footwell light to stay on, but those eventually go out as well after a set amount of time, possibly ten minutes or so

Specifically the "P" gear indicator illumination will stay on for a significant amount of time after the vehicle is locked. However, they will re-illuminate if the vehicle is "woken up".

If you have comfort access, park your car in a locked/private garage and keep the CA key anywhere near the vehicle (within range), the vehicle will never fully go to sleep. The proximity key will keep waking the vehicle waiting for a command and keep some lights illuminated and theoretically prematurely wearing the vehicle battery.

My "P" light on the AT shift base seems to stay on a long time but it does go off. I don't have comfort access.

I don't have comfort access, but I did have the key in my pocket when I walked up to the car. I wonder if it woke up because of that. I also keep a spare just inside the door from my garage. Wonder if that is keeping it from going completely to sleep.

I don't have ComfortAccess, I can leave the key in the car all the time if I wanted to. Car is not talking to the key after 15 minutes or so. The longest powered on light I've seen was the trunk light when I left the trunk open. That's also about 15 minutes. The bulb gets pretty hot and uses 8W power, so I replaced it with LED. It's a T10 plug in type bulb just in case you want to replace it too.

I keep the headlight switch on automatic. You didn't manually switch that while parked, right? I don't know if the shift **** light is LED. I think it should be LED, but it does get warm after a while.
