HELLO, The residue left over if you were to remove these is actually pretty easy to remove off the gas cap. i believe we only have red gas caps avalible now

I just removed one of the gas cap covers I bought direct from a vendor in china. Less than a year installed and it is faded badly. As far as I know all of them are made in China, but hopefully some of them have a UV resistant clear coat. It was easy enough to remove. I cut it from the edge to give me a grip and then while pulling firmly on the cover I ran the knife blade around the edge to release the tape, being careful not to let the blade edge contact the chrome cover itself.. After removing it I peeled most of the adhesive off the chrome cover by hand and removed the residue with WD40 and a cloth.
I'm keeping my eye out for a good quality black gas cap cover and door handle covers now.

Or you could use this. This is what I used to black out my gas cap. If you get tired of it, just peel off Glad I didn't spend $40 on that plastic cover.
