Very nice! Thanks for posting a picture of the shadow gray/checkered dash combination. I spec'd the same thing on mine but haven't actually gotten to see it yet.

It looks amazing!! I am so glad you posted photos because I haven't seen many in white silver! I just ordered a white silver MCS about 3 weeks ago so I've been itching to see one ever since

I do have a couple of questions...
Do you know what tint was used on your windows?
Are you planning on doing any cosmetic mods like dechroming or other?

Thanks!!

No problem!!! Picking the color line and dash had me contemplating over and over to where it was driving me crazy haha. I really wanted to do the red but decided on the shadow gray. I like the look of all the black and I do love the checkered dash but I just wanted something to break up the black and I am really loving the shadow gray. When did you order? Hopefully yours will be arriving soon :-)

First off, congrats on your order! You are gonna be so thrilled and happy once it arrives :-) I am loving the white silver more and more. I was nervous at first because I love white but wasn't a fan of the pepper white (my personal opinion). The color seems to go from a silver to a white to a darker silver. Lighting really impacts the color and it really catches the eye. Great choice! As far as your questions:

-The tinting looks a little dramatic in the photos but I blame it on the "chrome" filter setting on the iPhone. I have always utilized the same tinting shop here in town with all my vehicles. To be exact the film is 3M color stable 20% all around except for the sunroof which is 5% also by 3M. The tinting still allows light in and even being 20% it's not bad at all in the night. Like I said the picture editing filter made it look really dark for some reason. I chose to do 5% on the sunroof because I felt the mesh sunroof shade still let in too much light in even with the factory tinted glass.

-As far as customization, I have thought of de-chroming the headlight and taillight chrome to either a flat or glossy black but I haven't seen many pictures yet. I am also contemplating viper stripes but again there are so many styles so I would really have to find more pictures to find out what my options are. The tint shop that I use also specializes in vinyl graphics so when I finally decide I will at least know who to go to here in town.
My hanks again for the feedback and congrats on your order. Can't wait to see pictures once yours arrives :-)

Ordered on the 10th of September, and it's due into Port Hueneme on 10/30. I got lucky yesterday and was able to watch the container ship that has my car on it come through the Panama Canal locks via webcam...looking at 11/10 for delivery thereabouts.

One of my many iterations in the configurator had the red color line (with blue on the outside), but i decided to do with an orange/white/black theme instead. I'm hoping the shadow gray will bridge between the dark parts (console and window tint) and the light parts (I have the satellite gray seats, which are almost white, and the roof). Hopefully this looks as good in real life as it does in my head...

That is great news. You will be driving your new Mini before you know it! I think your color combination sounds great. The shadow gray really breaks up the black so I think you will be really happy! :-)

Thanks for the info! Yeah your tint looks great. I really want a nice black tint that actually stays black. So many times I've seen tints look really black then eventually fade into some hue of green so I really want to avoid that on this car. I'll definitely look into 3M color stable.

Viper stripes would look great on your car. Got any colors in mind? I'm also considering de-chroming the light frames with gloss black vinyl to match the grille but I'm afraid the contrast would be too dramatic next to the white silver paint.

Congrats. I fell in love with the white silver this weekend at the MITO rally. I never knew how stunning a silver could be. You will be the envy of all your friends.

Yes the 3M color stable tint is really a good tint. I have always been happy and the quality is amazing! Never fades, not at all that purple or blue tint, etc. as far as the viper stripes I was thinking maybe a gloss black but not sure. As much as I love the stripes, I kinda like the classy look without it so I'm up in the air still lol.

I'm right there with you. It's almost as if the silver has a pearl in it but I know it's just mainly the metallic flake. I love it. Can't wait to do my first detail and polish/wax with all the detailing products I just bought. Definitely great quality products.

Those wouldn't be from Detailers Paradise in Denver would it? I use their stuff exclusively. I love the Coupe in White Silver with red top/stripes too. It may be JCW only. Very nice car you got there, almost every option it looks like. Was this your first Mini?

I don't mind you asking at all. Being that I loaded mine with so many options, sticker was $36,750. My deposit of $1,500 went towards that price and on top of that the dealer gave me $2,000 off due to the delay, $250 off for being a USAA member, $500 off for the DriversEd credit, and $500 off for Mototober. Not bad at all, although I did buy extended warranties on a couple of things which increased the price. All in all I'm happy with my purchase and am enjoying every minute spent in it :-)

I am currently using Adams Polishes. Great products and great customer service. Plus all the tutorial videos are very useful being that I am a newbie to the whole detailing world and want to make sure I am doing things correctly :-)

This is my second Mini. My first one (R56) was brand new as well; however, due to many mechanical issues it was declared a lemon. I was scared to return to the brand but now with the new re-design I thought I would give it another shot and I'm glad I did. After several vehicles after the first Mini, it was never the same and I am glad I returned and hopefully I will have a better experience this time around.
