Whistling noise in 2015 Justa

We were one of the lucky ones that actually got our new 2015 this week. Right away we noticed a whistle that happens above 60 kph. Sounds like an air leak coming from the front of the cabin, drivers side. I wonder if maybe it is from turbo? Anybody else notice anything?

I have very good hearing and tend to be well-attuned to car noises and unexpected behaviors. While we don't have a heck of a lot of miles racked up on our car (3-man), it has been eerily quiet in all phases of operation. IOW, no whistles.

Have to say though that this isn't an unusual complaint about any new car. Obviously, anything you can do to localize it would help considerably. I'd vote for improperly installed weatherstripping around the door frame or at the top of the window. One other thing to check -- a few times the windows in our car didn't go up all the way during auto-lowering/raising. Stick some strips of paper in the top of the window where the noise is to verify that the window closes tightly.

I had a very similar whistling noise issue with my custom-built, brand spankin' new BRG '14 MCS when exceeding 80mph in L.A. highways. Upon taking it back to Alexander MINI, the shop foreman, suspecting I was trippin', had me reproduce the noise and confirmed it was external wind noise. Yes!

Alas, they loaned me a Bimmer while they figured it out. It took them 2 days of trial and error, and road testing to determine the source of the noise was a loose windshield wiper cover. Foreman said MINI would've detected the issue if they'd road tested it in Oxford.

I hope this helps.

Nothing per my ears. I often used cruise control from 60-70 and occasionally stepped up to 80 when passing. I don't feel 14' Justa is any nosier than my 04' Maxima and just a little bit louder than my previously owner 01' Avalon. I have Michelin Green X 205/45 R17 run-flat if that's relevant.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I don't have sunroof.

I think we have narrowed it down to the sunroof. It seems to fit fine and close properly but makes wind noise over 60 kph.
