Greg,

The front disks on the Cooper are 10.0". The front disks on the Cooper S are 10.4". The Cooper's basic rim is 15", and the S model has a 16" basic size.

Check with the tire gurus (Tire Rack, etc.) and I am sure you will find that the larger S brakes will not allow the fitment of 15" rims on the S model Hardtop.

Motor on...

I run 15" track rims on wildwood BBK.. the main issue was the rotor touching the front face of the caliper and i run spacers.. no issue with the rotor edge touching.

That would make them smaller than on the R56 (280mm and 294mm)

At my age I should remember to wear my glasses when reading the small print! The correct front disk diameters are Cooper 11.0", Cooper S 11.6". This corrected info is from the MINIUSA web site.

It's S and non-S. "Base" is not a model. It refers to ANY MINIs with no options.

Sadly, unlike the R56, the F56 has different part numbers for the Cooper caliper and the S caliper. On the R56 the same caliper was used, so it was easy to switch from Cooper 11.0"/280mm discs to S 11.6"/294mm discs.

I'm going with 3-cylinder, but everyone knows what they mean by base.
