Pretty cool radio feature

Have connect xl with Sirius and noticed today when I receive a call it pauses the radio. Then when you hang up your call it resumes. I knew that you could pause and rewind it yourself but didn't know it did it automatically. That's all, resume your life.

A nifty feature carried over from the BMW i-Drive technology. The built in hard drive stores the radio data to enable those functions. Pretty darn cool. Had it in my 2012 BMW Z4 and loved it.

This feature should only be available with the XL option, but I am trying to research (and compare) the Visual boost radio and the XL to comprise a list of what is gained and lost between the two. I would prefer NOT to have nor pay for Nav, and I don't really mind the slightly smaller screen, but I am curious what other differences in functionality exist (beside split screen capability, touch pad and the 20GB hard drive)

My 2007 MCS with just the BT phone connection would always pause anything that was playing through the stereo when a call came in and resume it when I hung up. There was no XL option, NAV, or anything.

...including a hard drive to store the streamed music coming in from the Sirius/XM feed.

I think it did, I don't think it kept playing. I sort of quit the BT phone thing years ago, I haven't even turned it on but once in the new car. I don't even know how to play music from the phone lol. iPod for me. I have Sirius and the music channels are not what I like. Fantasy football maybe.
