iPhone 6 fit

I have yet to receive my 2015 F56 Justa (about 3 more weeks), but I just thought of something. If I buy a new iPhone 6 (the 4.7" inch one) will it fit into the little dock thing in my armrest? I got the Wired Pack. Any thoughts? Any facts?

I'm thinking yes. I have an HTC One which I think is the same size as the 6. I don't use the dock buy I think I fit my phone in the armrest space. What you'll find out is the dock (you have to buy it) is the world's most expensive charger. Not many R56 owners messed with it. They claim it makes your reception better but that's open to question and who really cares? What most people do is connect the iPhone to the Y cable under the center stack and use it for music.

I have an iPhone 4s in my F56 in a snap-in adapter I bought on ebay for cheap. The phone is a beater, and I really just use it as a glorified iPod that works with Connected. But I will say that it is a snug fit, and I doubt if you'll be able to fit an iPhone 6 in a cradle designed for an iPhone 5. Also, there is no y-cable for the F56. You can just use your Apple cable.

I believe it will it; however, I have read in a few post that you do not need the y cable just the regular Apple Lightning cable and it will. Don't know if that is true because I do not have my car yet

I'm using only the lightning cable with 5s. My iphone 6 is preordered and I'm pretty sure it will work as well with just the lightning cable.

Apparently the head has been completely redone for the F56, and the y-cable isn't necessary. In fact, I have tried one at a dealer, and it did no more than the normal white usb cable from Apple.

A related question: I'm torn between the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6+, but what might sway me towards the iPhone 6 is the fact that I already have an awesome Brodit set-up for my iPhone 5, and the iPhone 6+ will be too wide to fit in it. Seems like a dumb reason to choose one over the other but it makes a difference.

Thats a very nice set up. I think I'll look at them when I get the 6+ and hopefully they have a newer larger one.

The 6 might fit if the 5 has room on the sides. I have an HTC One and my wife has a Samsung Note3 (similar sizes to 6 and 6 Plus). The Note is too big to go in my pants pocket comfortably but it's a nice phone. I personally like the Android system on mine and it's big enough. I may still get the iphone 6.

The 6 will; the 6+ will not. It's too wide.

I have an HTC One as well. It does not fit into the armrest with the snap-in adapter I use for an iPhone 4s, and I don't think that either the iPhone 6 or the 6+ would stand a chance of fitting in unless you remove the adapter, which I'm assuming is what the OP calls "the little dock thing." You could still connect either to the usb in front of the armrest, but don't count on being able to use the armrest adapter built for the iPhone 5, as I wrote in a previous post.

And all the snap-in adapter does is charge the phone. You still use BT to connect it to the car.

Actually, in the case of my snap-in adapter, it does exactly what the usb connector does: it controls the Connected app and allows for steering wheel control of music. And it charges the phone. But as I said, it's an iPhone 4s.

I just use a short Lightning cable and let my iPhone 5S rest in/on the cup holder. I bought an iPhone 6+ so I'll just do the same thing.

Iphone 6 works a treat!

I have just connected my iPhone 6 to my F56 and R60 and had no problems. Album artwork appears, contacts etc. Yay!

Iphone 6 not working via bluetooth

I was having issues, now I'm not... followed these instructions from Apple forum:

1) Log out of icloud on the iphone – SETTINGS, ICLOUD, SIGN OUT (AT BOTTOM)
2) Delete car/headset from iphone – SETTINGS, BLUETOOTH, SELECT DEVICE, FORGET THIS DEVICE
3) Reset network connections – SETTINGS, GENERAL, RESET, RESET NETWORK SETTINGS
4) Delete iphone from car memory
5) Restart phone
6) Pair to car/headset as normal
7) Log back into icloud to use icloud features

Does that mount block the ac vent? I live in Central Ca. and ac is very important.

It does not affect airflow to bad. You can move it higher up and block less of the vent. It is not right on the vent either. I have the 6 plus so it takes up a bit more of the vent.

I just installed it and it's not intrusive whatsoever. It's truly the best location for the phone and it's very well made.
