Gotchya. I've got a Pebble which does some of the things the Apple Watch does and a few of the things that Google Wear does but does other things that neither do.

I definitely need a cold air intake to do the other stuff..

Approximately the same thing as high-polish self-lubricating 304 stainless muffler gears.

This is what I worked on this weekend. Dimensionally it's exactly the same as the current setup on the airbox, but without the airbox. That said, going back to what I posted earlier about the sound muffler, it's kinda pointless really. Still I'm going to print it out on my 3D printer and see how it works out.

The intake pipes for the N20 motors look to use the same size intake diameter and "clip" attachment for the turbo, it may be possible to use one of those to "delete" the sound muffler on our cars. I'm looking into it to see if it's possible.

Cool stuff ^^^^

I actually surfed around the web after getting the car and tried to find a universal billet Alu MAF sensor housing that could work on this motor (a common aftermarket mod on many platforms..) but couldn't find anything that would accept this particular Bosch MAF sensor we have. That was the kicker. Otherwise, not complicated to use some silicone pipe, bends, and the adapter to DIY an open intake.

I may buy this Cravenspeed piece and experiment with it. Possibly put some of that gold mylar reflective tape on the rear sides of the heat shield. I think that it's going to get hot no matter what, though.

Thanks for sharing.

While wrapping it cool it off by a few degrees, I think the best bet would be to have it ceramic coated. Just my 2 cents

Papawhiskey, any updates on this? Curious about the sound level. Thanks in advance.

Got it installed this past weekend. Another piece of cake like the Burger kit. There were a couple deficiencies in their install instructions but I've brought them to their attention so that should clear those up.

I've definitely noticed a reduction in intake air temp on the ScanGauge. It's not a scientific proof but where I was running 25+ degrees above ambient I'm now down below 20 degrees above.

The one thing I haven't noticed is a significant increase in sound level (which is just fine with me). I have taken a couple of redline runs in first and second with no objectionable increase in intake noise. I've got the same type of set-up on my 911 and she really barks when the pedal is floored.

I really like the fact they use a genuine, washable, K&N filter element and (despite the possibly faster rise to temp) the fact the parts are aluminum and not plastic.

YMMV

That's odd, I wonder why there's no noise increase? You can't hear the turbo more at all?

Edit: Sometimes it helps to catch up on the thread before replying. Nevermind.
