If you remove the carpet from the side of the trunk you can see all the holes are there for the flat load system. You just need to buy the brackets and new carpet siding. They have everything at Sewell parts.

I really should have read this before this week. My husband is in Chicago for the week and I have had to cart my dog back in forth places in my MINI. I usually use his Honda Fit. It has been "interesting" to say the least.

I found 1 dog bed crammed in the well + 5-6 towels fills the stupid thing. Then I found some foam boards to go over it all. It worked but it was not the best option.

I need to order these parts ASAP for the future.

If ordering, get the package !!!
If not ordering you can cut a piece of Ply to fit, then cover it in fabric.

When I ordered my MCS in March, it never occurred to me to order the storage package. When it arrived in April, my MA wasn't sure about adding a lid to cover the well, so it hasn't been a priority. Frankly, it hasn't been a problem. I have stuck things (see earlier in thread) back there that fill the well neatly. At this point, even if they gave me a lid free, I'd probably turn it down.

Just a heads up that for us dog owners, the "flat floor" while being more or less level still has a gap between the folded seats and the storage floor.

The one time I took one of our dogs in my F56, I had threw a quilt down to "keep some of the dog hairs" off the floor [epic failure as the quilt I used was itself full of dog hair]. In any event, by the time we got back home, the quilt was all bunched up in the gap from the dog moving around and (I presume) stepping in the gap area.

The next time I plan to let a dog get back there, I likely will put a 1/4" piece of plywood across the gap with a dog hair free quilt or blanket to cover the entire back area.

If adjusted properly the floor is flat and even from the rear of the front seats all the way aft.
The adjustment is a little odd, but very "do-able"'

If this isn't a gap, I don't know what one would be ...

This is looking down, rear seats on top of picture, storage board on bottom.

This is view at storage board level looking forward. Yes, it is "flat".

This is a closeup of the left side of the storage board properly seated in the bracket for the upper position.

I did play with it.

I'm assuming you removed it from the bracket and put it forward of the bracket itself? If that's the case, then you're just going to create a gap at the back -- though do to the slope of the hatch door, a dog is unlikely to step there.

Take some pictures please.

That's what a real Pal would do

I'll check it out at the dealer tomorrow with one of their cars -- I'll be getting my wife's van serviced at the dealer across the street. But, having just spent more time with the car just now, there's no way the storage platform that came with the 2015 F56 can be adjusted to eliminate the spacing shown in the pictures I posted.

I'd love to be proven wrong, but in this case I don't think it's happening.

Yes, talked to them. They took a "guess" and said it would be over $400 for what they think are the parts. Would require special order and be non-returnable.
