Just curious, I drove my car hard yesterday and I got him up to 120 MPH. Has anyone maxed out their car to the point it turned off? I am wondering what the max speed is in these cars?
I guess I could figure it out myself on the track again next time too.

According to TopSpeed.com.......a quick search of Google helps!
The base model is 130
The S model is 145 Auto and 146 Manual.
No mention of the upcoming JCW.
Not going to charge you for the 15 second Google search this time, next time, PayPal upfront! LOL

Awesome reply.
I actually researched myself. I was wondering if anyone has actually tested this out yet (in real life)? I may have too at the track sometime in the future.

135.9 in the standing mile, March 2013 at 23,000 miles.
It wasn't done at that point, just ran out of track.
I'd believe 145 top or so, but I haven't seen that myself. You don't mean "turn itself off", right? It would just run out of power to accelerate more at that point. There isn't a governor / chip limiter on the MCS hardtop, at least not in 2012.

Right, I do not mean "turn off" in regards to physically turning off. How scary would that be! Originally Posted by ljmattox
