This is a universal. Not just for cars. And the longer you're together / married / partnered / whatever... the more second nature this truism becomes.

Have you tried either one of these in an F56? I had ordered one from a national vendor and they sent one for an R56 (because they weren't bright enough to know there was a difference). It would not get anywhere near the window at the top because the rear view mirror base on the F56 is apparently much larger than that on the F56. If you can verify that either of these don't suffer the same condition, I will gladly buy one.

See above the one F56 owner choose the R56 one 82110035953 and it did fit with work and was happy . The R60 / R61 one has not been tested in the F56, I know its large long ways and top to bottom 82110039342 .
