4) Now move the shifter so that it is pointing up. You need to put your foot on the brake and make sure the parking brake is on. I might have had it in Neutral, can't remember, you just want it pointing in the direction you are going to pull. Now you are going to pull very hard UP on the shifter. DO NOT TWIST. There is a plastic shaft that goes inside the shaft of the car's shifter and it has a channel, so if you twist it you may damage it. SO DON'T TWIST. Yes it takes some force to pull it off and there is no warning it is about to come up. So you need to pull hard but at the same time put your other hand on top so the shifter doesn't fly up and smack you in the face. I've heard of people doing this on other cars. It came up easier than I thought, but I was thinking it would be next to impossible. It will come up, and it will surprise you.
My F60 2019 CountryMan did not come with the Turn **** for Sport/Green at the bottom of the Gear Shifter.I wish to know if i could add one to my machine & wonder if that would be a plug & play?.Thanks.

Plastic shaft problem

Guys I need help!! JCW Gearknob that came to me was without central plastic shaft ( for button ) I thought it will be simple and removed my plastic ( easily pulled) shaft, but now I can't fit it either in new or in old ****. Nothing seems to be broken, just can't figure out how to make button work and more the shaft. Currently I'm riding without shaft at all. All works, simply without blocking button, but I want it to work as it has to be

Hi, everyone. I need your help!!
I bought JCW ****, but it came without plastic stick that goes into shaft. I removed my old one ( simply pulled from inside the **** and it came). But when I'm trying to install it I cannot fit it properly, button to work and to move this plastic stick. There has to be some trick?

Can someone give some advise?

This end of the stick that I cannot fit properly

Whole shaft stick

Fixed!!

the problem is in metal finger that holds plastic stick that goes into the shaft. When you remove plastic stick metal finger goes in red position.

the hardest part is that when you connect the plastic stick you need somehow to push metal finger in blue position. Than it will hold plastic stick and move it when you press the button

In normal position you cant see that metal piston ( marked green)
