Has anyone else noticed this phenomenon? In daylight hours, the display on your auto-climate dials will alternately get very dim and bright while you're driving? Guessing it's related to my having auto-headlights on and maybe they're turning on by themselves given the conditions? One minute I would look down and the auto-climate controls are bright; the next minute I can barely see them. My instrumentation brightness dial is set all the way to the top. Maybe this is "normal" functioning … but I don't like it.

Yes, same here. It not only affects the climate controls, it affects the speedo / tach / gas lights, as well as the NAV screen but to a lesser degree.

I sure wish there was a way to decouple or turn off auto brightness. I don't have my brightness all the way up, so when it gets dim, it gets super dim.

I agree it's frustrating. I turned off auto headlights. The center led ring is way too bright
