Radio Off delay

I have the HK sound system. My radio/media continues to play for about 5 minutes after I stop the car and get out. The sound stops if I lock the car, but if I have just stopped and gotten out, it continues to play. I looked for a way to change the timing to shut off after a shorter period but have not found it yet. Anyone know anything about this?

Its not just the radio... all the electronics in your car are on.
To fully turn the car off you have to either: Hit the power toggle twice (first turns the engine/ignition off, second turns the electronics off) or hit the power toggle once (engine/ignition off) and then hit the lock button (doors lock/electronics off).
I'm guessing you're just hitting it once and walking away? That's essentially the same as in a car with keys in the ignition as turning it to the middle position.

Yes, I am just hitting the start/stop once. I will do it twice. Now that you have told me that, I do seem to remember that from the manual or read it on here elsewhere. Thanks

If you have a manual transmission, the clutch has to be 'out' when you press the switch the second time. I say this because if you have your car in gear when you shut it off, you'd have the clutch 'in', of course. It would be a natural thing to then, while the clutch is still depressed, to press the ignition switch the second time. But you have to let the clutch out first on the second press.

I have done this on numerous occasions. Once I finally figured out I needed to depress the Start/Stop button twice, it took me a while before I stopped restarting the car. Gotta get the shutdown procedure just right: Stop, Turn off engine, let off clutch, then turn off ignition.
