Having the ring around the speedo set to the color blue might get you pulled over by the popo...

Had someone tell me they got pulled over for it. Wouldn't surprise me to find out the cop was in the wrong.

Holding traction control switch down for a few seconds will disable DSC, which will also disable rev matching on a manual.

I keep the center ring on as ambient lighting and noticed that when I go under a heavy canopy of trees the LED's dim. It's like the car knows there's daylight so it doesn't put the headlights on but dims the ring accordingly.

As MasterYoda and sal1k added, that feature (part of Driver Assist, which also includes camera-based cruise control, etc) apparently is part of an add-on package. When I was actively using the online Configurator and MINIUSA.COM web site, however, it was somewhat misleading and implied that at least some of the features were standard on the 2014 model (or, at least were not advertised as an extra add-on). Don't know if anyone else ran into the same mis-impressions or not....I gave the dealer and MINIUSA.COM customer service some lengthy feedback regarding that. Another example is the 6-speaker audio system with CD player that was "supposed" to be standard....my wife's 2014 Clubman (purchased a week after I got my Hardtop) had it, but mine has no CD player and only 4 speakers.

I guess the goldfish / Minimalist option must also fall into this category?? I only have the basic LED display, but it seems the LCD display in the instrument panel could easily display that. Or, is that feature tied into some other add-on (like the Mini Connect, which I believe has the larger display in the center console)??

I don't think the camera based options are available in the US as of yet.

And regarding your audio, do you have the two subwoofers (one under the driver's seat and the other under the passenger's seat?)

Active Driving Assistant package is available. I ordered it on 6/24. I was skeptical if it would show up on my build, but it is listed on my VIN. Of course I won't know for sure until I get my car and right now it's hanging out at VDC Brunswick and must really like it there since there is no info on when it might leave.

Not according to the computer (I have an interface for extra gauges on my phone)... but I know some folks with mods are running that much boost...

Correct. The MINImalism app is part of the Media Boost options (any of the bigger screens).

There is a (7 or 8 inch) speaker under each of the front seats, and a smaller (4") speaker on each of the front door panels.

I don't want to get off topic, so here's my "cool thing to know"......
One feature I've been using a lot with my Hardtop that I don't remember seeing mentioned in either forum thread is the "convenience unlock". On a hot day, you can start cooling the interior by pressing and holding the Unlock button on the remote while walking to the car. Windows will roll down, and then the sunroof will open (until you release the button). Way cool.
