Replacing the stock radio with a nav system? Haven't heard of anyone doing it on here yet, but replacing the systems that come with the car is going to be tough as they've got diagnostic stuff hooked into it (your electronic dipstick is going to the radio, and much more if you got one of the connected packages).

I meant replacing Visual Boost 6.5 with Mini's full navigation XL.

If it's possible you probably want to be sitting down when they tell you how much it's going to cost

Oh. Yeah... adding any factory option NOT at the factory is typically massively more expensive. I'm sure it can be done, but a lot of that stuff requires labor and parts upgrades beyond what you'd expect.

For this computer stuff though... It'd really depend if the cars come pre-wired for navigation and only require activation or if they are entirely missing the nav components all together. You'd have to check with your dealer. Sounds like you're looking at an off the lot and then hoping to upgrade it later? Probably be a lot cheaper if you just order one with it already and wait it out.
