F55/F56 Week 27 build -- this is your status thread!
How did you track the ship and know you were already halfway to the east coast? That would be awesome in my case. I am looking at the k-line schedule, and I see that the only ship that has departed closest today is the Columbia Highway (july 19th). Could it really have taken 8 days for Mini to update?
Update: I just called Mini and spoke with a person, and it is confirmed I am on the Columbia Highway which is due in port on the 31st.

I just found out that I am on the Columbia Highway. It was loaded on July 19 and just found out today (July 25th) that it was loaded. Due in Brunswick Aug 1st. I do not like the K-line because the lack of information. But I am finally a happy camper
This site is fun to play with. Here is the Columbia Highway:

You do realize that the average car shopper goes to the dealer, points to something in beige or white, and says "I'll take that one," right?
You are so right and more then just buying a car
Sold my current car today to my neighbor across the street (just in the knick of time as my MINI is due next week - probably - hasn't yet been released to carrier). Check should clear about the time MINI is ready. I can watch it come and go every day. At least it gets to continue its child rearing duties instead of being put out to pasture or abused. It has been very faithful so I'm happy even though I gave the "neighbor discount." It works for all of us.
True enough. Pity the poor MINI USA rep who has to talk to us crazies every day! My guess is some MINIacs aren't as polite as the folks on this thread, either.
YEAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! That's what happened to me - by the time I found out I was on a ship, I was able to say it's due "next week." You won't see the ship again (or at least I didn't) until it gets to the coast. There is also a blackout area off NC on its way to Brunswick and you have to wait until it pops out of that for a new position update. Not knowing if you're on the dock or on a ship is really hard, but it is nice finding out your ship is halfway here already. It kind of makes it like your car is coming in before you were expecting ----- because you were expecting it to still be on the dock, but instead you can say "next week!"

Our Week 28 production is also enroute but does not show up on the WW tracker. It's been at the port since 12 Jul, I wonder if it is also on the Columbia Highway. Can't get a customer rep on the phone on the weekend. If it has already been in transit for a week then I'm behind schedule selling the old car!
UPDATE: Our dealer says our car will arrive on the 31st. But checking the latest K-line schedule, the Columbia Highway is now scheduled to arrive in Brunswick on the 1st. So we've been on that ship since the 19th and didn't even notice it. Yikes, got to get busy selling the old car!

I believe your car will be unloaded at Brunswick, GA on Aug 1st because that is where BMW VDC (Vehicle Distribution Center) is located, and then trucked from there to your dealer.
Really? They don't use the Charleston port anymore? Any idea of the time spent at the VDC?
Your paperwork from your dealer when you ordered should tell you where it's coming in. If you see "Port Loc: SSIPOA" that's Brunswick. That's where I'm still sitting apparently.
Yup, that's what it says--how long does it normally take to process through that point?
This is a few years old, but maybe it hasn't changed much:

Today's discouraging news
This from the dealer this morning:
"So far the word is that your MiNi is being held at the port, with no definitive release date. The feedback I have received from the port has been cryptic, but it seems as though your MiNi's designation as a 2015 model has something to do with the hold up. Wish I could convey more concrete info."
Well this is pretty discouraging to say the least. This is MUCH worse than waiting for production, or waiting on the dock for ship, or waiting for the ship to get to the US. This has no sense of movement, no tracking, no reason, nothing. Just limbo.

Columbia Highway just docked in Baltimore today and there are more cars coming off the ship there and also in Brunswick in a few days. They are going to get this resolve soon. They have to!! Has anyway out of NY/NJ have problems also?
