Ya, why would people get that one over Countryman? I thought they were cutting models not adding more confusion crap.

Takes the place of the Clubman
As long as the front door access is good,
I like it.

The 4-door should be called the Maxi.

Sorry - don't like the sloped (aerodynamic), non-boxy boot design. Bad enough that the rear windows of the F56 aren't as rectangular as the R56... Losing the iconic MINI-ishness that's so recognizable.

The front on the MCS 5 door seems less ugly than the 3 door I have. Maybe the slightly longer body helps offset it.

kinda mixed feelings. i don't hate it but I think if I wanted a more family friendly size I'd pick up a 328d wagon

looks fine to me; but since i think the F56 is butt ugly anyway, its not like its really hurting it. almost looks better oddly enough....

still want my mini cooper pickup truck!

I've liked each of the x56's, and really wanted an F56, but have never liked the size, weight or look of the Countryman.

Being 6'2", needing to frequently put in and remove a rear facing child seat and preferring to keep my 58cm and 29er inside the car when at work, this neatly solves all of those issues for me and gives a small chance for an adult to actually sit behind me too.

Now just bring on the JCW and take my money.

My wife has an X1 35i, and the automatic only, weight and size just kill it for me. The next one and the Countryman will share the same platform, but this F55 will still undercut both greatly in size and weight, and for me, the available full set of pedals is critical.

Don't forget, the 2-Series Active Tourer is also coming here, although perhaps not with a manual.

Can anyone confirm that the base model is deep blue metallic? It looks really good in these pictures imo.
