If they simply buy/install the switch I'm betting the harness is there under the dash and the rear fog lights would probably work. I'm sure going to look for bulbs in my rear fogs and move out from there.
On the R-56's the harness for the rear fog was there. I installed the light and the switch myself, but had to get the ECU programmed to recognize the switch and light. I would not be surprised if the same were true with the F-56.

GK the topic is the second thumb-wheel (to the right of the main light switch).

Well. Latest chapter in the saga of the Mystery Switch:

It might make the headlights tilt like they do in Europe, but it definitely screws the operation of your fog lights, like the're supposed to work in America!

Took the car to the dealer on Saturday about my non-functioning fog lights and they hooked it up to the diagnostic computer and it said "Bad Light Switch." the Tech couldn't understand why until I pointed out the mystery switch. Well they have my car and I'm forced to drive this crummy loaner they gave me - 2013, BMW 328i with about every option imaginable. It's a tough job but somebody has to do it. Actually I like my Mini better!

Got my Victoria back today and everything is functionally correct with the lighting. Thanks to Mini of Birmingham, they had someone drive my car back up to me (1.5hr drive) and I swapped them for the loaner car. This was a crazy one. How the Euro light switch got put in my car and somehow passed QC at the factory is a mystery - but kudos to Mini for making it right.

Motor On!

My steering wheel is on the right side.
Maybe that is the wrong side?
