Phones and Mini Connected

Looking on the list on the Mini site it seems like the only phones that work with Mini Connected are Samsung and iPhones. Is that right.
I have a Galaxy S4 and it has a lame connected package but if you have a HTC one they say that the connected package won't work at all! You would think that all Android phones would be similar....
Also the Galaxy S4 (according to the site) has more functional features than the S5. Does this seem dumb or really dumb...you only have a choice of 1 brand that actually works with the car!

Looking at those charts you realise that they are all wrong. If you don't use your Vin number then there is no way for me to select the F56 2014.
Also at present I have a Galaxy S3 loaner and it works exactly the same as my S4 although the Mini USA chart says it is different.
Come on MINI get it together....you will have to buy a phone and try it! So stupid when they are selling cutting edge technology and they can't get their web site together!

shraz. Totally get that.
The point I am making it that if you are looking for a new phone to buy it is hit and miss if it will work because Mini have not done their homework or state "real" results on their website. You have to buy the phone load the app and see if it works....then take the phone back if it doesn't.

This is why compatibility with my car is not a factor when I buy a new phone.

jcauseyfd. ...but when you were stupid enough to pay for the Mini Connected feature.....you would expect that most not just one phone would actually work with the car right? You clearly did not pay for this feature....
