MCS Jumps out of 1st Gear

Not all the time. I think that it feels like it is in gear but is not and it jumps out when I release the clutch.
Anyone else have this problem?

Gregory,

Man that is not good at all.

In my case I went with the 6-Speed Auto Tranny.

I wish you the best on getting this corrected.

Take to Mini Dealer ASAP is my advise.

Get the Service Mgr. to ride with you and show him what it is doing.

If he sees it 1st hand it will get fixed for sure.

I worked at dealers for over 18 yrs.

If you or they can't duplicate the failure the odds are it won't get fixed.

Terry. You nailed it. It only happens on occasions...but if I tell them and something happens later it is on record. Thank god for warranty's!

I own a 2012 Triumph Bonneville which has this problem intermittently. Yes apples and oranges but due to the difficulty of reproducing it at my dealership I am left with this issue today. Hate the intermittent crap.

Yes, take it in and get a case opened up for the issue.

Then as you know there will be an ongoing Record of the Failure.

Make sure you report it at least three time before warranty expiration.
Does it feel like it dead ends in first when you initially place it in first?
It sounds of course like it wasn't all the way engaged.
HOWEVER, you are not new to this.
Keep us apprised!!

Mrdi. Never had this problem before. Never own an auto. I keep thinking it's me - maybe I'm not depressing the clutch all the way. It is so shocking when it happens I always loose my memory of what I did.
