Multimedia Questions

Really simple questions hopefully: Does anyone know if there is a one touch button on the steering wheel to change to the next music track?

Also, I cant seem to the find an option for setting my bluetooth iphone songs on random or shuffle so every time I get in the car I am listening to the same starting song again and again. Any advice?

Has anyone successfully downloaded the dynamic music on the Mini Connected App? I am using an iPhone5. Every time I try to download a set of songs from the dynamic music collection the download just hangs. Is anyone else having this same problem?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks ahead of time. Motor On!

I don't believe there is a one touch skip forward or backward button on the steering wheel any longer, they have set it up so can jump to a specific track or radio station (displayed on the console or HUD) and then select it via the ok button. You can still hit the arrow buttons on the radio (center console) to directly skip tracks as before.

I have found the bluetooth options for audio to be very limited as well, it may work better if you plug your iphone into the USB port as you "should" then have full control over the music. (I currently do this through my ipod and pair my phone over bluetooth separately just for calls so I am not sure).

I have the connected app on my ipod and have been able to download the dynamic music, you may need to uninstall and re-install the app to correct this.

The up and down buttons on the right hand side will scroll the music listing forward and back. pushing the center button selects the track. I'm using an iPod though so I don't know if that will work the same.

If you have the MINI Connect XL system you can put the songs on random by hitting "right" on the thingamajig. It'll have an option that says "Random" with a checkbox.

I only have that random option when it's not bluetooth. USB works.

I did put my phone on random and it played it fine on bluetooth. The sound kinda sucks and I have to put way more volume. USB is okay. HD Radio has the best sound.

Anyone know for the std version we have 6-speakers? I have: 1 on each side doors, 1 below each seats, and 1 next to each side back seats? No tweeters?

Tweeters are in the A pillars if you have them pointing right at your head.

That's not in the std?

Also, anyone know if the USB is 3.0? I don't see any blue tip, so I would assume it's a 2.0.
