Toggle Confirmation

The only way to get the far left toggle is to spec the car with park assist correct? The rear view camera does not give you the toggle without park assist?

You would be correct. That far left switch is for nothing more than park assist.

I think there is a good opportunity for an aftermarket suction-cup toggle switch that has "eject" printed on it.

I hope I'm not the only one who just added this for the toggle switch!

I've always disliked how MINI handled the toggles. Finally they got it right with the R56 - all you had to add was front/rear fogs and the sunroof to get all the toggles. I missed out on ordering a 2013 due to my lease ending this year (although I found out I could have ended it as much as six months early as it's pre-paid and they would just refund that amount! ). I am actively trying to find a 2013 or certified 2011-2013 with as much as I would have spec'd as possible. I just can't get in to the 2014 so far - especially as you'll have two missing toggles unless you spring for $$$ options. And that missing button in the middle of the AC controls bugs me to death ha. I guess I'm OCD

If all fails, I guess I'll just buy my lease as I really want to stay with MINI...

You're not...I changed my order because of that lol.

Should be nice to have front park sensors as well.

Unfortunately that'll be missing on all US-spec cars, as heated windshields are for some reason not allowed.

On the R56 it's a blank button.

If they'd only moved that to the middle...

I look at those blank buttons and missing toggles and tell myself how much faster my MCS will accelerate because it doesn't have the extra weight of a glass roof, heated seats, etc. ;-)

Amen. It's such an awkward location. Getting the heated seats makes it look worse IMO!

The missing button for the heated windshield on the R56 was much less noticeable.
