If you follow my posts, you will know that my mini has been sitting in port since 4/8 (12 days) with no update or reason (my VIN was not on the recall list). I called up Mini hotline and they said that they would check into it and get back to me in a few days. I called my dealer and he checked while I was on the phone with him and said that estimated pickup by the shipping company on the 23rd and delivery on the 26th (conveniently coinciding with my dealers launch party). I was skeptical and was thinking my dealer was just giving me a date to shut me up lol (I am one of "those" customers). But I checked on the owners lounge and it actually says estimated delivery of the 26th. Looks like I will be driving my new pepper white MCS with almost all the trimmings on Saturday.
I sold my Porsche back to the dealer about a month ago and have been driving around the dreaded 3rd car (09 4wd escape). Absolutely nothing wrong with that truck but I get ZERO joy in driving it. it is simply transportation only. I cant wait to look forward to driving again.

 

First world problems I know that feeling. Traded my mini for a truck (moved to Texas, that was required, right?) and now I'm in the process of getting it back. NOTHING compares.

 

That's great, Steve. Seems like, as you might suspect, that the dealer might have purposely delayed delivery to coincide with their launch day. I would hope not, but it is suspiciously too much of a coincidence. Well, you'll be driving it soon enough. I'm having a blast with mine.
