I had Xenons on my R56 and have LEDs on my F56. IMHO I think the LED's give a better light. It does have a slight purple tint to it, but it's a very crisp light and definitely cuts through the dark!

 

My apologies everyone...SeppTB, I now think you are 100% correct. I misunderstood my window sticker and my car does have the LED's with cornering. But my lights definitely do not swivel.

They for sure do illuminate a light to the side on certain corners. I had only noticed low speed before but I believe SeppTB has answered the questions.
