F55/F56 F56 in Canada Questions.

F56 in Canada Questions.
I was told there were a couple of New MINIs in town so I searched them out.
I sat in a red one with a white roof and stripes, manual, sports seats, base radio.
I was hoping to have some questions answered but this car hadn't been through "PDI" which meant that nothing was working.
I was expecting to see a window sticker with the Canadian gas mileage, but I guess that's part of the ?pre-delivery inspection? too.
So, do they have the Canadian gas mileage numbers listed out East? What are the Cooper with automatic's numbers?
The radio wasn't working so I couldn't plug-in my 5G Apple iPod Touch to see if it would work. Has anyone tried that? How about with Bluetooth?
This car had everything but the rear storage box from the storage package. Any comments on the rear storage box?
Until 6 weeks ago I was driving a 2006 MINI Cooper, I loved everything about that car. I would not get the dynamic damper control, would I want the sports suspension?
Can I answer anything for you?
Some questions I had that I could answer:
A big guy finds the sport seets a bit uncomfortable, tight on the sides.
The base radio looks fine to me, even if you could fit another speedometer there.
It has a Barbara Streisand nose.
The mirrors are larger. I didn't look at them from the driver's seat.

Why wouldn't you want the Dynamic Damper Control? Since some of the time my wife will be riding with me (and on rough roads), I won't always want a "go-karty" ride. I figured this was almost essential for a multi-purpose vehicle.
I wouldn't get it. From what I've read the dynamic damper in its sportiest setting is nowhere near the sport suspension. The article I read said if the middle setting is 0, it can be adjusted +10 (firmer) to -10 (softer). The sport suspension is +30.

The suspension is not simply redesigned. Each level of that tuning has been rethought. MINI engineers explained it to me like this: Consider the base Cooper S suspension at the “0’ point — the neutral — between performance and comfort. When equipped with variable dampers, the suspension has a range of -10 in Normal / Green modes, and +10 in Sport mode. Then there’s the optional stand-alone Sport Suspension, which is at a +30 to the performance side of the scale. Reportedly, the updated Sports Suspension is more aggressive than today — equivalent to the R56 JCW factory sports suspension setting (not the dealer installed kit). We only drove MINI’s with the variable dampers, but given my personal experience, I’d likely opt for the sport suspension if I was buying a performance-oriented MINI. However if I was buying more of a daily driver or commuter MINI, the variable dampers would be hard to pass up. That said, I would have liked greater differentiation between the two settings. The difference was noticeable but not as dramatic as I had hoped.
Yeah, that's the article I read. Adjustable would be nice on long trips, but day to day I'd prefer the sport suspension. I guess there's only so much they can do with a variable damper.

A picture of a Canadian 2014 Mini Cooper Hardtop automatic window sticker.
A look at the interior of the sunroof. Is there a sliding shade this year?
Some comments comparing the sports suspension and the dynamic suspension to an R50. [Softer is not good]

The Fuel Consumption numbers just showed up on MINI.ca this morning.
Cooper Man 6.9, City 7.8, Hwy 5.6
Cooper Auto 6.9, City 8.1, Hwy 5.7
Cooper S Man 8.1, City 9.4, Hwy 6.1
Cooper S Auto 7.5, City 8.7, Hwy 6.1
NRCan is changing their testing, which is why the numbers are higher than last year.
I've found some 2013 numbers from NRCan adjusted for the new testing.
