So I posted a while ago about how I went into my dealer (Ralph Schomp Mini Denver, CO) and tried to order a mini with roof rails. Since that is a backordered part (till at least April I am told) we canceled my order right then and there. Well, my sales person called me to let me know that the dealership never actually took my order out of the system so it got built and is now waiting to be loaded on a ship. I have since found out that you can put a snowboard rack on the back of the mini that hangs off of the rear bumper so I don't care about the rails anymore. So basically, I have Mini, soon to be on a ship, with my name on it and I didn't even have to put down the deposit . As you can see, I didn't skimp on the options. Here she is :

It might have your name on it but the dealership is not obligated to you as you don't have a contract with them. If you want it you might consider putting that deposit down.

 

Ya, I thought of that....the sales person says he will keep me informed and will give me first crack at it but I will most likely put down the $500 anyway

 

Yeah, I definitely would put the $500.00 down. Just in case. That's nice that it's Awaiting Transport. Sounds like mine will be bedding down near yours as it makes its voyage across the pond.
