Question for Configurator fans

I recall in the prerelease hype you could get the cruise control that "follows" the car ahead of you and can brake if they slow down fast. I also saw something about the car looking for pedestrians to the side of the car and warning you about them. Did anyone see that stuff available on the configurator, because I didn't. Is it part of the NAV somehow?

I haven't checked the configurator in a week or so, but I thought I saw the adaptive cruise thing in there as an option. It's the first time I've heard of the pedestrian thing.

I checked again this morning and couldn't find either one. I don't know if it's part of the tech package, one of the other options like park distance control or nav, or what. I read descriptions of most options to see if it was mentioned in the text but couldn't find anything.

I see Adaptive Cruise Control described on the UK site but don't see it in the UK configurator.

I can't find it at all on the MINIUSA site. Perhaps it hasn't been approved in the US? If you Google "mini cooper adaptive cruise control", there are quite a few hits and it is definitely something that MINI has publicized.

That must be where I saw it, the UK site, because that's where I built my first F56. I bet it's not available in the US.

It could be that it's just a delayed introduction feature. This happened with the F30 3 series when it was released, adaptive cruise was listed as an option but wasn't available until the next model year (the first MY was short so it was almost like a mid-year introduction).
